A Guide to Dating

Individuals in longterm relationships, whether they're married or dating, frequently complain of getting into a rut. Your connection may have started off with the terrific burst of enthusiasm and passion but perhaps it started to wane because life is busy and work can where you out by the end of the day.

If you are in a dating relationship that appears to be in a rut, or wonder why you can not maintain a long term relationship exciting anymore, maybe you will need to return to the beginning.

That doesn't mean that you will need to break up with your current spouse and find somebody new, it means that you will need to refresh the connection with exciting and spontaneous actions.

When you look back on a period of your life, what is it that you recall? Is it the typical day-in, day-out actions? Not likely. It's more likely those fun and spur-of-the-moment times when you did things which were hilarious or frightening or new. That is what it means to return to the start of a relationship, when what you do will be new and spontaneous.

Next time you and your boyfriend or girlfriend are choosing to do something on Friday, do not settle for dinner-and-a-movie. Do something different! Here are some ideas:

- Play paintball

- Rent a classic car

- Go skydiving

- Have a picnic

Or surprise your date with something spontaneous:

- Start a water battle

- Go for a romantic boat ride and tip the boat

- Blindfold your date and take them somewhere they never been

- Surprise your date in work as they are finishing up for the day

Relationships fail for several reasons. Among the saddest reasons is that people simply drift apart because another person does not excite them . It does not have to be that you are your connection, whether dating or married, can flourish when it's full of experiences that the two of you discuss as you build memories together.

You will return on your time with fondness as you think about the many spontaneous and fun things you did together. But doing these things is a selection. Choose to go back to the start of your relationship and have fun !.
